A MBA is attractive for the following reasons: 1. Clients that you may work with will have postgraduate educations, as a rule MBAs and even doctorates. 2. Your resume with strong qualifications is incorporated as a component of a serious proposition for getting work. 3. Contacts made in your MBA program can be valuable in getting jobs. 4. Data learned in the business courses can be helpful in a portion of your work. While the facts really confirm that a lot of this can be learned at work, having a wide scope of business courses can now and then save extensive time in fostering this information. 5. Case investigations acted in a considerable lot of the business courses can be helpful in directing a portion of the examinations in work. However, you can get jobs after under graduation as well at big firms, however, you will need a strong profile & a good referral or on campus opportunities for the same.
Though having an MBA makes it very easier to get access to recruiters in the consulting field, it is not very important to have an MBA to work in this domain. Consulting companies also recruit freshers from various undergraduate universities across the country. If your university doesn't offer you that opportunity, you can try reaching out to recruiters via LinkedIn or cold emails. You can indulge in activities that will increase your chances of getting recruited like pursuing internships, live projects, and relevant courses. And answering the second part of your question, an MBA might definitely help you get an entry into this domain but staying in the industry for a long time totally depends on the individual's efforts and circumstances

A degree solely does not help in thriving and sustaining in the world of consulting. The ability to show an effective practical application of knowledge and gaining experience in the world does. If not pursuing an MBA but other degrees like PGDM, Ph.D., or more, then also you have almost similar challenges of becoming a consultant as an MBA applicant would. Consulting is a dynamic and innovative field that has space for anyone who can contribute to their client's survival, growth, and expansion. A qualification helps you have an initial reputation, but in the long term, your results and work matter the most.
