Investment banking is referred to as one of the most difficult avenues to get into, especially right out of the undergrad. The other half of the interviewees consider it to be relatively easy - reason being banking has a well-defined path, and the students are expected to know questions around a certain range of topics. If you have a grip over accounting, valuations, basics of finance and economics, you would be considered as someone who can break into the field, on paper. However, having a BBA restricts you since the firms won’t be visiting your campus, unless you’re from a LSR, St. Stephens and Xaviers of the world. For that, it’s important for you apply to the places off campus, since most firms hire off campus as well!
