Hi Chirag. To be able to get opportunities in a domain like Finance, you must have the relevant skill set. If you’re interested in Finance then enhance your skill set there, like learn Financial Modeling and then once you know enough to perform the roles and responsibilities of that job that go for it and apply. If you’re interested in Finance then go learn a few important skills in that domain like Financial Modeling and then you can apply for that role. In a nutshell, you will only get a job role when you can perform the skill set that the job requires you to perform. Your degree from DU would be a spike in your CV but you need to have something specific in the field of Finance, try shaping your skills there.
Landing at a finance job with just a graduation degree can be really tough and competitive, but not impossible. You need to seek internships in finance either during college or after completing it according to your own preference. It enhances your resume and makes a strong value in your career. Other than that you may not have finance as your major but try getting into finance related subjects in your degree so your study also matters while you interview for a job. Lastly, you can also try reading financial news to be up-to-date as it is drastically changing. The more knowledge you have, the better.
