If you want to get into consulting roles, which is becoming more common than ever before, here are different great ways to prepare for management consulting roles: First off, it's important to get good at solving cases and guesstimates because not only will you have the job of solving problems but also have the responsibility of making a decision. Another way to prepare for consulting is with youtube channels such as Seekho. Their memberships offer premium access to their channel with countless hours of content ranging from case interviews and case examples to ask-the-expert series where they answer your questions about management consulting topics. If you're looking for more details, try learning different concepts through their Seekho series. Other than that, it’s important to understand the role of management consulting by getting your education in business administration skills through an online course or community college. These courses will help give you insight into what could possibly be expected when becoming a consultant. You can attend the course here - https://www.seekho.ai/courses/management-consulting/CT-131-31409

I agree with Anirudh. Other than what's mentioned, do make it a point to start prepping for the interview rounds by regularly practising guesstimates and cases which is what's mainly asked in the interview rounds of most Consulting firms. Start networking with professionals from your dream consulting firms, ask for referrals and keep a close eye on any off campus opportunities.
For getting in a Consulting Firm through off-campus recruitment drives- Consulting Firms do hire via on-campus placement drives is true but they only hire via on-campus placement drives is not. Mostly all of the consulting firms do also have off-campus recruitment drives/lateral hiring going on throughout the year. For the same, keep an eye on the LinkedIn job portal, their career pages and LinkedIn posts by the employees at these firms. One thing that could help here is tapping people for referrals! Since consulting is more of a 'Generalist's Job', experience in any and every industry would be relevant and in fact, diverse industry expertise is always better for the firm! Besides, it is never too late. We, at Seekho, are here to help you on your journey. :)
